Arts in Action programme cover with title

Is é Arts in Action an príomhchlár ealaíon poiblí, léirithe agus rannpháirtíochta cruthaithí de chuid Institiúid na Cruthaitheachta i gcomhpháirtíocht le Scoil an Bhéarla, na Meán agus na nEalaíon Cruthaitheach in Ollscoil na Gaillimhe.

Bhunaigh Mary McPartlan, nach maireann, an clár Arts in Action chun spás a chruthú inar féidir le sármhaitheas ealaíon, idirphlé cultúrtha agus rannpháirtíocht phoiblí bláthú.

Cuireann an clár deiseanna ar fáil don fhoireann, mic léinn, ealaíontóirí, taighdeoirí, eagraíochtaí pobail agus ealaíon chomh maith le lucht féachana chun taithí a fháil ar shaothar ealaíonta nuálach, ar thaighde ealaíonta agus chun páirt a ghlacadh i gcomhráite criticiúla faoin tsochaí chomhaimseartha.

Sna míonna amach romhainn, tugaimid cuireadh daoibh páirt a ghlacadh sna léirithe beo, sna cainteanna agus sna taispeáintí ar ardchaighdeán. Léiríonn siad ar fad an fhealsúnacht ‘ní neart go cur le chéile,’ agus leis an bhfealsúnacht seo níl stop ar bith linn.

Arts in Action is the flagship public arts, performance and creative engagement programme of the Institute for Creativity in partnership with the School of English, Media and Creative Arts at the University of Galway.

Founded by the late Mary McPartlan, the Arts in Action programme was established to create a space where artistic excellence, cultural dialogue and public participation could flourish.

The programme provides opportunities for staff, students, artists, researchers, community and arts organisations as well as audiences to encounter innovative artistic work, artistic research and engage in critical conversations about contemporary society.

Over the coming months, we invite you to join the high-quality live performances, talks, and screenings, all embodying the philosophy ‘ní neart go chur le chéile,’ we are stronger together, and through this coming together we are capable of transformation.
